Today on Radioactivity, Rob Lorei is joined by state Representative Carl Zimmerman of Palm Harbor who is a critic of some of the ways virtual schools work here in Florida.

Last month Gov. Rick Scott signed HB7029 into a law. It opens the Florida market of online classes to out-of-state digital learning companies. Opponents say the new law will reduce teaching jobs in the state and open the door to private companies from around the world to profit from Florida?s move to virtual schools. Mark Douglas a reporter at NewsChannel 8 in Tampa investigated the virtual school business and here?s a report he did earlier this year.
