- Chosen by Voters I don't think its anything to worry about?lots of times we can get what's called "sun spots" which is just a discoloration of the skin caused by the sun?we all have pigmentation in our skin, some people get spots like that, people like me with olive toned skin, I still get them too and I'm in the sun all the time. If you're concerned about the tanning beds, I'd stop them all together. Tanning like that, really isn't very good for your skin, and getting burnt on a regular basis can be dangerous.When it comes to skin cancer usually and most typically it will be something that looks out of place?a bump or mass on the skin anything bigger than a pencil eraser, a spot on the skin that is discolored (and I mean like a funny, dark, or weird looking color), and anything in a funny looking shape (not circular or asymmetrical)Since you are very worried I would talk to someone about it?anyone you feel comfortable talking to just to ease your nerves?and if you still feel uncomfortable and worried make an appointment with a Dermatologist anyways, even if it is a few months off?usually when you see a new Doctor, it takes a while to get in to see them, and just for good measure you could make the appointment in advance.
