Anabelle was found hanging around a car wash in Woodland Heights, Houston on the morning of 5/27/12. Although very energetic and friendly, she was extremely emaciated and had obviously delivered a litter of puppies very recently. She was walked by her rescuers through the surrounding neighborhood in an effort to find the puppies, but none of the neighborhood residents remembered seeing Anabelle before and no puppies were found. She was probably left in the neighborhood after giving birth.
There were no tags or microchip so her rescuers took here for a complete checkup and discovered she was in good health (apart from light heartworms) and is about 1.5 years old.Anabelle was moved by her rescuers to Smiling Dogs Farm Sanctuary in Wharton, TX where she has had space to run and play with her other dog friends and is now heartworm free. She is very energetic, very playful and extremely loving. She walks well on a leash and has been spayed. She has a beautiful white and liver coat with unusual markings. She also loves to be in the pool and will even put her snout under water. Anabelle would do well with a family and with enough yard space to exercise and expend that wonderful energy. She also rides well in a car.
Annabelle is now ready to go home and is now here at Dogtown Ranch Sanctuary in the adoption program here at the Ranch
