Things are coming down to the wire on "The Voice," and coach Christina Aguilera isn't ashamed to admit it: She needs help!
Fortunately, she'll soon get it, as?the show is about to move on?to the phase where viewers help decide who should stay and who should go. "I actually am thrilled about it," said the singer, who sat down with TODAY's Matt Lauer Monday morning. "Being on the hot seat to pick who goes home and who stays is so hard.... Sending people home is the worst thing in the world. So I'm glad to have America weigh in -- please help me choose 'The Voice'!"
She was a little less definitive in mentioning who she thinks will be the last one standing, though. "It could be anybody's game at this point," she said.
But she was very clear on her plans to return to the series after her upcoming hiatus to promote her new album, "Lotus," which will be released Nov. 13.
When asked if the the departure was permanent, the Grammy-winner shook her pink-tipped blonde head and said, "Oh, no, no, no....," adding that if she's to be a good mentor and judge, she has to be a working artist too. "I need a break to gain new experiences so I can come back and be an even better coach."
