Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? - Business ...

Africa's most populous nation should be the most favourable business location for most north american countries, because of her official language, being English and her diverse cultures.

Are Nigerian youths eager to work, to learn and to engage in outsourcing from other countries?

Is Nigeria a goldmine for genuine business investors?

Should Nigerians in the diaspora come back to develop and invest?

Re: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by Fhemmmy: 1:25am On May 25Yes, Nigeria is so much ready to be tapped and money be made from that nation BUT:
1. The common need to make a business grow is not there yet - Light, security and attitude.
2. The Nigerian youth are not really ready, they have play for too long with Mama and Papa, and they have been involved with too much easy way of making money that i am not sure they are ready to use their strength to make money

Cost of running a generator alone will kill a lot of business or at least reduce your margin of profit.

With these been said, Nigeria is still a place where one can make good money if you are persistence and ready to tough it out.

Re: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by mbhs139(m): 1:25am On May 25Yea Mukina. I did a course in outsourcing, and I'm a member of the outsourcing practitioners of Nigeria.

Yes, Nigeria still has a lot to gain when it comes to outsourcing business, particularly from overseas. India is already saturated and the jobs are moving to Nigeria. Our government only need to fix some certain things, particularly light. Outsourcing jobs are jobs you can even do in the comfort of your living room.

Please give reason, is it personal anger towards them or cos you think they have nothing to offer?

[b]If we could make the needed facility available and secure the life of people, Nigeria will be so much in money from outsourcing, cos compared to Indians, Nigerians could speak very good english . . . But how many call centre will bring their business to Nigeria only to be using candles. This post has been hiddenRe: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by Fhemmmy: 1:31am On May 25This post has been hiddenRe: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by nenergy(m): 1:50am On May 25

Most Nigerian youth, even college graduates, cannot speak English fluent enough for the business setting.
Are Nigerian youths eager to work, to learn and to engage in outsourcing from other countries?

No, except maybe in scams and frauds.
Is Nigeria a goldmine for genuine business investors?

Maybe by goldmine you mean a bottomless pit where you'll never see your money again.Re: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by KingPradas(m): 2:38am On May 25

Look at your self, how is nigeria ever going to improved if the citizens of the country keep blaming the youths. isn't the government faults that they didn't had good education, and why wouldn't them engage themselves in scams and frauds if they can't get jobs ?

And i would like to see how Ghana is more superior to Nigeria. (Ghana Must Go)

What do we have to offer?
Because what I know about this outsourcing, is that before a country can enjoy outsourcing at the global level, the man power and infrastructure must be in place. Who is going to deal with Nigerians with our bad power supply?

Re: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by Kairoseki77: 3:46am On May 25OP...outsourcing is an energy intensive business. You NEED 24 hour power to be able to service calls at all times.

Like almost every business in Naija, this won't take off until there is a stable power supply. We cannot compete internationally when we are paying for generator powah!

Re: Is Nigeria Untapped And Ready For Outsourcing? by 9jaganja(m): 4:15am On May 25If they can just give us 24hrs electricity and security, Nigeria will be officially a ready goldmine of a nation.

But should we keep fantasizing about potentials while forgetting our reality?

The reality is that nothing will change and our potential is nothing without work. We need to abandon tribalism, religious bigotry and corruption.

We can only get there when we stamp out corruption. If you think with corruption here and there, Nigeria will magically change out of some magical economic figures, you are dreaming.

Yes we are blessed, yes we can be among world top economies, yes corruption won't let us get there simple!!.

@OP...one step at a time. The first step to progress is 24/7 supply of stable electricity. Then encourage Nigerians in the diaspora to return to set up businesses. Why can't Nigerians develop Nigeria? Looking forward to receiving contracts from outsourcing North American companies is looking forward to exploitation unless the companies would be setting up factories which would be owned by Nigerians at the end of the contract.

Basically, when i newly joined nairaland, i tried to decipher what could be the bone of contention btw Nigerian peeps and ghanaians here on NL. It was not long before i realised that u ghanaians always stirred this up with ur incendiary comments. When a meaningful topic is broached abt Nigeria, u quickly hijacked it and instantly begin to show ur resentments on the country. I know that Nigeria has got so many problems on its own. But then, why not remove the big wool in ur eyes before trying to remove others?

U talked about Nigerian graduates who cannot speak fluently, do u mean to tell me that there are no such pple in ur country? Hypocrite!

The only thing u can boast of in ur country is constant power supply. Even with that, u are still way far behind Nigeria in all ramifications. Pls stop trying to fight what u cannot change, cos u are unfortunate to be a ghanaian. Stop trying to evoke annoyance in us as this would make us to believe that u r suffering from inferiority complex. Be good to ur BOSS.
